ABOUT
Kalyan Thapa is the founder of Everest Erosion. He has devoted his career to working sustainably on environmental rehabilitation projects, using leading edge soil bioengineering techniques.
He is a published author with more than twenty years experience working in a variety of the planet’s steepest and most challenging terrain.

Protecting and rehabilitating the earth’s fragile environment is his passion and purpose.
He has experience building and leading teams and supervising projects from beginning to completion, including managing feasibility studies and doing drawings and project designs, completing permit applications, and all aspects of project implementation and management, backstopping and quality control.
Kalyan uses his broad knowledge of natural plants along with his training in modern engineering techniques to innovate sustainable and long-term solutions.

He has managed highway and rural infrastructure, irrigation, mining, disaster mitigation, and watershed projects for the
World Bank, ADB, DFID, SDC and various national and international charity funded projects.
